Why custom

Stop renting software thatdoesn't fit your business.

Off-the-shelf tools charge per seat, per month, forever — and still make you work around their limits. Custom software fits how you actually operate, connects to the systems you already use, and belongs to you from day one.

Illustrative example: 10 users on a mid-tier business platform at $50/user/month = $30,000 over five years — just licensing. A custom build with ongoing care can cost less and do more. See the full comparison →

If a $30/month app does everything you need, use it. We're for businesses that have outgrown that.

Project 01Custom softwareClient under NDA

Relay

A customer support portal for tier 2 and tier 3 escalations.

The problem
Escalated support cases were hard to follow. Customers had no easy way to see where their issue stood or answer the questions the support team needed resolved.
What we built
A simple, self-serve portal where customers open a ticket, track its status in real time and reply to requests from the team, plus the queue the tier 2 and 3 specialists work from.
The result
Customers stay informed at every step without chasing anyone, and specialists get the answers they need faster.
Customer support portal on a laptop and phone: ticket queue, conversation thread and ticket details
Project 02Back officeClient under NDA

Ledger

The back office for a multi-tier distributor network.

The problem
A distributor-based business needed one system to run every tier: the distributors, the accounts beneath them and the money moving between them.
What we built
A complete back office with account creation, tiered permissions, payments, performance analytics, full records and transaction history, each tier seeing exactly what it should.
The result
Distributors run and grow their own networks of accounts from one place, with the numbers in front of them in real time.

Project 03WebsiteClient under NDA

Signal

A marketing site redesign for a payments company.

The problem
The product had outgrown its website. It needed to explain how customers move their money and a new referral program, at a glance.
What we built
A new hero, an animated network graphic showing money moving, live stats and a referral rewards section, tuned for phones first.
Our role
Design, front-end build and ongoing site care.

Project 04Automated platformClient under NDA

Atlas

A self-running web platform that launches new branded sites in minutes.

The problem
The business wanted to grow through distributors without growing headcount, and without a new build every time it expanded.
What we built
An automated platform that runs day and night with very little staff work, on a distributor model, plus a launcher that spins up a fully branded site for a new partner in minutes.
The result
It keeps operating while the team is asleep or away, and expansion is a few clicks instead of a new project.

03Process

How wework.

Clear scope, fixed milestones, working software early. You always know what's done, what's next and what it costs.

01

Understand first

We start with the real problem and the real constraints, not a template. A short scoping call, direct questions, then a written plan with a fixed quote.

02

Build what matters

We ship in milestones you can click through, and cut anything that doesn't move the business forward.

03

Launch and own it

We handle hosting, launch and the first weeks of real use, and stay accountable for how it runs in the real world, not just what we hand over.

04

Stay for the long run

Care and support plans keep everything updated, secure and improving after launch, from the same people who built it.

04About

Disciplinebuilds freedom.

Operators, not just developers

We build and run companies of our own, so we advise from experience. We've shipped real products and kept them running.

In-house developers

Every project is built by our own in-house developers, never outsourced or passed to freelancers. You work directly with the people building your system, with no hand-offs.

Built to last

Plain, well-documented technology you can maintain, choosing tools for the next five years, not this year's trend. We also invest in a small number of companies we believe in.

How every project is staffed
01

Strategy & research

We study your business, competitors and users before anything is designed.

02

Content

Researched, SEO-ready writing for every page, in English and Spanish.

03

Design

Custom visuals, graphics and interfaces. No templates.

04

Engineering

Custom code, integrations, apps and automation.

05

Quality assurance

Every page, form and feature tested on desktop and mobile before launch.

06

Project management

Written scope, milestones, due dates and weekly updates, with one point of contact.

Specialized roles on every build, coordinated under one roof, so nothing falls through the cracks.

05FAQ

Goodquestions.

What does a project cost?

Custom software and app projects typically start at $5K; websites start lower. Every project gets a fixed written quote after a short scoping call, so there are no surprises.

Do you build iPhone and Android apps?

Yes. We build one app that runs natively on both iPhone and Android, publish it to the App Store and Google Play under your account, and keep it updated as new phone versions come out.

How long does it take?

Most websites launch in a few weeks. Software depends on scope. We break it into milestones so you see working pieces early instead of waiting months for a big reveal.

Do you support it after launch?

Yes. Monthly care and support plans cover hosting, updates, security patches, backups and small improvements, handled by the team that built it.

Can you take over an existing system?

Often, yes. We start with a review of what you have, then upgrade, stabilize or rebuild only what needs it.

What do you need from me to start?

Just the form below: what you're trying to do, a rough budget and timeline. We'll come back with questions and a time to talk.

Why not just use an existing app?

If a $30/month app does everything you need, you should. Off-the-shelf tools work well for standard, common tasks. But if you are building workarounds in spreadsheets, paying for features you do not use, or hitting integration limits that cost you time every week — you are spending more than you think. Custom software fits your workflow exactly, connects to your existing tools, has no per-seat fees, and belongs to you. Over three to five years, it often costs less than a platform subscription — and you own it. Read the full comparison →
